Years of my Youth.
A walk with God (:Archive for November, 2008
Oh dear…
Did quite a fair bit of traveling today, and had countless thoughts gliding (as if on ice) through my mind with distressing intensity (thoughts on life & death, love & relationship, heartbreaks & healing, deception & redemption, madness & sanity, good & evil, God and the devil etc etc). i was quite determined to blog a bit of my mind, and the holiday happenings (some of which are long overdue), but certain heartbreaking thingy stopped me short on my track..
Sign, let’s postpone it yet again…
Basically, there are 3 important points for me to express:
1) The pervasiveness and gravity of deception all around and within us.
2) The dire need to exercise our God-given reason, conscience, discernment etc.
3) The futility (or gross limitations) of the above mentioned faculties with regards to the redemption of souls.
Till a better time is found! Ahhh.
On a side note, my SNG dance juniors are simply amazing! xD
(: It was nice to be back in SNGS. Thanks dears, for receiving me so warmly today.
<3 God bless!
Pit stop on blog
The past few days came and went like a whirlwind, so dramatically tumultuous that they seemed unbelievable to me on hindsight.
How can i convey the profound effect of the hurly-burly (not without moments of lingering quietness and calm tho) of ‘holiday’ on me, spiritually, psychologically, intellectually and physically? Strings of words cannot suffice… and so i shall let the tide of time sweep these recollections down the memory lane into the vast sea of Subconsciousness, while extricate a few of them and position them in the limelight of Consciousness, and toy with them a little longer. (=
Will be leaving this town in less than 6 hours’ time, and i’ve yet to complete my work, pack my luggage and all. )= Talk about the deterioration of my sense of time! ><
Wow will be a fulfilling experience i believe. Especially with the opportunity to be exposed to the unembellished elements (after a prolonged period of dormancy in the unchallenging greenhouse) and being close with village kids who are authentic (generally more sheltered from the corruptive forces of muang). There’s much in store for me to learn! =D
Will be bringing books to read: EE book by 张爱玲, The Color Purple by Alice Walker, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger (must complete!), The Acceptable Sacrifice by John Bunyan (must complete!), Back to Jerusalem by Paul Hattaway and of course The Holy Bible. Hmmm… interesting mix of spirituality & worldliness, humility/ obedience to God & rebellion, sexual immorality, existentialism, altruism etc etc.
(: Good bye friends. God bless! <3
Jia you for the remaining IB Exams, EETOKIAWL and what have you!
